I was hired by Jamestown-Yorktown Foundation to design three interactive activities for the special exhibition Forgotten Soldier at the American Revolution Museum at Yorktown in Yorktown, Virginia. The exhibit was initially on display from June 19, 2019 to March 22, 2020, but due to COVID-19, the exhibit was extended to July 8, 2020.
The interactives I designed included Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness, a wheel activity showing the choices African Americans made in the hopes of freedom, Of the Greatest Service, a flip door shadow box full of touchable objects, and Remember A Soldier, a post-exhibit activity encouraging guests to write postcards to currently stationed soldiers.
